There have been several web technologies that have been incorporated into my courses; however, one of my favorite has been E bird. In a zoology course I took, we were required to become expert bird watchers and learn how to operate the online program, E bird. E bird is an online program that allows bird watchers to import their bird watching experiences by displaying the types of birds they saw as well as the quantities of each bird in the location in which they were observing. This assignment required a lot of patients and expanded my horizons by teaching me all of the different species, classes, and families of birds there are around the world as well as in by back yard.

Along with the E bird program, one of technologies incorporated within several of my classes has been WIX. WIX is an online program that allows you to create and design your own website, portfolio, business, and more. When I was first introduced to this online program, I was the least bit intrigued. I had never used the program to make an e portfolio and I found it difficult to navigate and understand. For my senior, I had a total of four e portfolios to design and I felt a little over my head. After creating one, I realized all of the different styles, animations, and different aspects of WIX that not only allowed me to showcase my work as a student, but also express my work in my own unique creative way. Statistical Software
In several courses and labs that I have taken Microsoft excel spread sheets have been an important factor in analyzing and interpreting data. Throughout several courses, such a chemistry, biomolecules, organic chemistry, and physics, I was able to incorporate the excel software to display and record my data in forms of graphs and tables. In chemistry, I used excel to display my results from a lab displaying the enthalpy of different chemicals. In this excel assignment, I was able to insert the enthalpy equation in a sequence in which the excel software computed the calculations for me. Learning how to navigate and use these software was beneficial in several experiments and labs throughout the school year.
