About Me
Welcome! My name is Teanna Anthony. I am a graduating senior at Winston Salem State University. This semester, I decided to expand my horizons and take a Cancer Biology. Throughout my years of college, all of the course I had taken we either requirements or classes I took because I needed to fulfill my credit hours. Although these classes were interesting and I learned a lot, none of them sparked my interest of areas that I wanted to study. When I found out this class was offered the spring semester of 2017, I immediately added it to my schedule. Considering my passion to enter in a field of medicine, I though having a course of this nature under my belt would be a necessity. I had always been eager to learn about cancer because I had lost many loved ones due to the fatal disease. Taking this course has not only opened my eyes to how cancer can be acquired, but also how it can be prevented and its many unique forms and functions. Taking class gave me the opportunity to explore many avenues of cancer as well as enhance my curiosity about cancer and different areas I would like to study.
This course aimed to discuss the way cancer develops, underlying causes of the disease, DNA repair, treatments and much more. To learn more about cancer and the highlights of the course work, click the link below.
